Goto | This example simulates the identical structure as in the previous
two examples. This time, however, the four atoms are rotated around
the normal to the screen by 20 degrees anticlockwise. The left image
shows the original crystal from the example 4, the right image shows
the new crystal. Click on the pictures to get a full screen version.
The following two pictures show the intensity distribution in reciprocal space. Inspection shows, that the shape of the intensity distribution in reciprocal space is identical in both cases. This time, however, the intensity distribution in reciprocal space is rotated by 20 anticlockwise as well:
A rotation in direct space causes an identical rotation in reciprocal space. The directions of the reciprocal lattice are fixed to the directions in direct space. |
